General Information: AITC hosts a Teacher’s Workshop for all participating Little Green Thumbs teachers in September or October to start off the school year on a great note. At the workshops, teachers learn the ins and outs of the indoor gardening kits and how to care for their vermi-composting worms; experience some cultural sharing, program information sessions, and best of all share great conversation and food! This year, the Little Green Thumbs and Greenscapades Teachers Workshops will be combined and will be held on Friday, October 14th and Saturday, October 15th, 2011. For brand new teachers to the program, it is important that they attend both days, and on Saturday, we invite all of our returning and new teachers to participate in an excellent Professional Development Opportunity. General Information:Agriculture in the Classroom SK is proud to host a Teachers’ Workshop for all participating teachers in our School Garden Programs - Little Green Thumbs and Greenscapades - to start off the school year on a great note. This workshop is a fantastic professional development opportunity for teachers to learn more about garden-based learning and how they can incorporate it into their classrooms!The February 2008, September 2008, 2009, and 2010 Teachers’ Workshops were great successes and we are very excited to continue our work into the 2011/2012 school year. Date:For the 2011/2012 school year, our 5th Teachers’ Workshop is planned for Friday, October 14th and Saturday, October 15th, 2011 in Saskatoon.
