Welcome to Agriculture in the Classroom Sask's exciting and growing School Garden Programs!

Kids_with_plants Little Green Thumbs is an indoor garden program engages and inspires students to grow and eat healthy food.  Little Green Thumbs is a powerful educational tool that supports inquiry-based learning and hands-on science experiments.  The indoor gardens are living laboratories where students explore, discover, experience, and LEARN!

Greenscapades
 Schoolyard Learning Garden program supports community schools in Saskatoon to develop sustainable gardens that teachers and students can  utilize for outdoor education. With a strong focus on sustainable food systems and environmental stewardship, Greenscapades will empower young people  to become agents of change in their communities.

 

Whether you are a student, educator, gardening enthusiast, community member, sponsor, or parent, we encourage you to get involved in our school garden programs!

My students showed an unprecedented enthusiasm towards our grade one plant unit this year. Each day they came into the room and went straight to the garden to see how things were doing. Students have learned to plant, transplant, harvest, make pickles and have a strong sense of pride in their accomplishments.
