Youth Solutions to Climate Change - YSCC

Climate change will affect every person on this earth and may significantly alter the way agriculture producers operate in the prairies. The pressure is already on for the agriculture industry to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and producers are already looking for way to adapt to the changing climate conditions.

In an effort to promote discussion about climate change, AITC- SK is proud to host Youth Solutions to Climate Change (YSCC). Students work in groups to assess a real-life conservation issue and present their solution to conference delegates during the Saskatchewan Soil Conservation Association's Direct Seeding Conference. The student's presentations may include crop production practices, introduction of livestock, equipment changes/purchases, budget projections for the five year period, and projections of the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
