Ag Experience

Agriculture in the Classroom and Prairieland Park Corporation are excited to team up and introduce the “AG Experience” for grade 4 students.
Who? Grade 4 students (including grade 3/4 a 4/5 splits)

When? Oct 25 – 27 2010 from 9:30 am – 2:45 pm

Where? Prairieland Park Ag Centre, Saskatoon, SK

What? Agriculture plays a very important role in Saskatchewan’s economy, communities and culture. This event will give students a chance to learn about agriculture through short, interactive presentations facilitated by producers and industry personnel. The presentations will feature dairy, beef, pork, bees, chicken, sheep, goats, eggs crops, soil, and water. A cookie auction, a game show and a milking demonstration will add to the fun.

Why? Because food is what sustains us and the future of agriculture depends on people understanding and supporting it!

By the end of the day students will know more about the many products Saskatchewan farmers produce and appreciate the significance of agriculture within this province.
