Ag Ambassadors

Agriculture in the Classroom Photo Who are they?
Ag Ambassadors are teachers who are committed to providing balanced information to their students, helping them to become responsible consumers, decision-makers, and leaders.

What does it involve?
Reading, implementing and sharing.
AITC sends out a quarterly newsletter to Ag Ambassadors which gives information on:

  • New resources available
  • Up-coming events for students and teachers
  • Highlights achievements from schools around the province
  • Ideas for lesson plans
The Benefit to You.
  • Ag Ambassadors have first chance to participate in professional development opportunities such as the Agriculture Roadshow.
  • Be the first to receive information/resources that could complement your efforts in teaching science, social studies, health, math and language arts.
  • Opportunity to network with agriculture industry professionals, teachers, administrators and Sask Learning.
  • Opportunity for your students to participate in unique learning opportunities such as Youth Solutions.
  • Opportunity to provide feedback to AITC and affect the future of agriculture education
What we ask of you.
  • Your commitment to using agriculture information and examples to teach some of your classes.
  • Your time to disseminate our information to other teachers in your school and/or district who may find it relevant.
  • Be a spokesperson for agriculture and all it encompasses and offers.
